Kilmarnock’s head of goalkeeping, Fraser Stewart, has unveiled the club’s current five goalkeepers, all of whom are products of the club’s academy and loan system. The group includes Corey Armour, Dylan Brown, Jamie Morrison, Max Stryjek and Calum Ferrie, all of whom are under Stewart’s guidance since 2022.

Kilmarnock has a long history of producing top‑quality keepers, from Colin Meldrum and Alan Combe to Cammy Bell, who helped the club win the League Cup in 2012. The club’s modern academy now offers a cohesive pathway for boys and girls, with all goalkeepers training together to share knowledge and experience.

Corey Armour

During a 2025 pre‑season tour of the Netherlands, Armour earned a first‑team appearance in a friendly against Eredivisie side AZ Alkmaar. He has gained valuable minutes on loan at Maybole Juniors, Auchinleck Talbot and Kelty Hearts. Armour suffered a serious knee injury while on loan at Kelty Hearts, but he remains a key part of Stewart’s goalkeeping unit. He said, “The dream is obviously to play for Kilmarnock… I can’t let it slip for even one day.”

Dylan Brown

Brown was the Scottish Youth Cup winning goalkeeper in 2025, when Chris Burke’s squad defeated Dundee 2‑0 at Hampden Park. The 18‑year‑old, from New Cumnock, has had loan spells at Auchinleck Talbot and Kilwinning Rangers and has represented Scotland at Under‑17 level. He signed a new contract until the summer of 2028 and will train with Max Stryjek and Calum Ferrie as he pushes for a first‑team spot.

Jamie Morrison

Morrison, born in 2010, signed his first professional contract shortly after his 16th birthday. He has played for Kilmarnock’s Under‑17s and Under‑19s and earned Scotland Under‑15 caps. With a footballing family background-his brother Liam played for Celtic and Bayern Munich-Morrison is set to compete for the U19 starting spot and may earn first‑team experience on loan.

Max Stryjek

The 30‑year‑old returned to the first‑team bench after open‑heart surgery in November last year, missing roughly six months. He signed a one‑year contract until the summer of 2027 and helped secure the club’s Premiership safety in the 2025 season. Stryjek has kept several clean sheets this season and saves penalties, providing a senior presence for the younger keepers.

Calum Ferrie

Ferrie, 28, previously worked with Neil McCann at Dundee and now re‑unites at Rugby Park. He famously saved a last‑minute penalty for Queen’s Park in the 2025 Scottish Cup, helping the Championship side eliminate Rangers. Ferrie’s experience will aid Corey, Dylan and Jamie as they progress.

Stewart emphasised that the club’s rich goalkeeper heritage continues to shape the next generation. “Corey, Dylan and Jamie are live examples of our pathway, and they all have bright futures ahead of them,” he said.
