Queen's Park has made an exciting addition to their first-team squad by signing Oliver Fisher, who has recently extended his contract with the club. The young defender is making the transition from Queen's Park's successful under-19 team, which recently clinched double titles, into the senior squad this summer. Fisher joined the Spiders youth setup from Greenock Morton last year and gained valuable experience during his loan spell at Cumnock, where he contributed to their success in the South Region Challenge Cup. Oliver expressed his enthusiasm about his development over the past year at Queen's Park, highlighting the strong team spirit and the guidance he received from coaches Lee Mitchell and Charley King. He stated, "It was a big difference to what I was used to but it was nice to step into a new environment, challenge myself outside of my comfort zone and I’ve enjoyed it." First-team manager Sean Crighton praised Fisher's potential, noting that his performances in the under-19s and during his loan were exceptional. Crighton emphasized the importance of promoting young talent within the club and is looking forward to seeing Fisher grow as part of the first team. With his strong defensive skills and eagerness to learn, Oliver Fisher is set to play a pivotal role in Queen's Park's campaign this season.
