Queen's Park first-team players will report for pre-season training in two weeks. First-team manager Sean Crighton has confirmed the return of more than a dozen players for season 2026-27, who will be tested after the summer break before being put through their paces by the coaching staff. Alongside fitness schedules and signing talks the football department at Lochinch have also arranged several pre-season friendlies to ensure the Spiders have prepared the best way they possibly can ahead of the Premier Sports Cup kick-off against Brora Rangers on July 11. The first of these is a Friday night fixture away to Gretna 2008 at Raydale Park, on June 26, 2026. Kick off is 7.45pm. That’s quickly followed by back-to-back action with a friendly against Annan Athletic at Galabank the following day (June 27). Kick off is 3pm. Like last season the club will also combine a Glasgow Cup fixture with Clyde in the schedule. This takes place at New Douglas Park on Tuesday, June 30 with a 7.45pm start. The Spiders will also have at least two closed doors friendlies against sides from either end of the Scottish football spectrum as the squad gears up for the competitive action. First-team manager Sean Crighton said: “We are looking forward to the return of the players to Lochinch, but when the games begin that brings the feeling of the season that little bit closer. “Away trips last season were important for team bonding – and that showed with two wins over Ross County following our overnight trips in the Highlands. “These two games in the south of Scotland will be important bonding time for the group after their summer break, and challenging for the players. “Our match against Clyde in the Glasgow Cup will be the same, and a chance for our fans to see us closer to home, mirroring last season’s match before the season kicks off proper.” - Tickets for our match at Clyde can be purchased HERE
