Oliver Fisher's first senior goal could not stop Queen's Park from losing 2-1 away to Arbroath. This leaves the Spiders ninth in the Scottish Championship, having earned only four points from their first eight games.
Andy Winter scored first for Arbroath, finishing a move started by Roman Molotnikov. Molotnikov then scored a second goal for the hosts before the break, meeting a cross from Jacob McIntyre.
Fisher's landmark strike
Queen's Park manager Sean Crighton changed his lineup because of injuries, giving 19-year-old Fisher his first league start. The forward scored in the second half, hitting a low rebound after a cross from Lewis Stewart was blocked. The club stated the goal "couldn’t kickstart a comeback for a point the performance merited."
Queen's Park had much of the ball and several attempts on goal, but only Fisher's shot went in. This loss marks their third consecutive defeat, after previous losses to Ayr United and Dunfermline. Their next match is a difficult away game against Raith Rovers, who are second in the table.
